Services
Termites
- What you might spot: timber that sounds hollow when tapped, pencil-thin mud tubes sneaking up walls, or doors and windows suddenly sticking.
- Why they’re a worry: termites work in silence, round the clock, and a big colony can chew through timber far quicker than most people imagine.
- Best time to call: at the first hint of activity, or if it’s been more than a year since your last inspection.
Ants, cockroaches & spiders
- Ants: those stubborn kitchen trails, little sand craters in paving, or winged swarms after summer rain.
- Cockroaches: droppings that look like pepper or coffee grounds, a sour cupboard smell, or the classic late-night scuttle when the light flicks on.
- Spiders: redbacks under outdoor chairs, orb-weavers stringing sticky lines across paths, or a surprise huntsman when you least expect it.
- Handy habits: wipe crumbs, seal up sugar and flour, and cut down on outdoor lighting that lures insects (which in turn feed the Spiders).
Rats and Mice
- Clues they’ve moved in: scratching at night, droppings in drawers, or chewed food packets and cables.
- Why it matters: Rodents spread germs, gnaw on wiring, and generally make themselves unwelcome very quickly.
- Where they set up: roof voids, wall gaps, garages, or anywhere there’s pet food left out.
Wasps
- What you might notice: papery umbrella nests under eaves, mud tubes on walls, or Wasps circling around pergolas and shrubs.
- Why they’re risky: stings are painful, and nests near doors or windows get aggressive fast.
- When to act: the earlier the better — a golf-ball sized nest is far easier to deal with than a football.
